SAAFoST 19th Biennial Congress " Exhibition

Fantus Technologies exhibited at the SAAFoST 19th Biennial Congress held in Durban from 3 – 5 September 2007. The theme chosen for the 2007 congress was “Consuming Science – Focus on the Facts”.

The aim in selecting such a broad theme was to allow the congress program to be as all encompassing as possible – and to include elements of food science and technology from all aspects of the food supply chain, including ingredients, preparation, processing and production issues, food safety, right through to the other end of the spectrum, looking at health and nutrition, sensory aspects, consumer communications and trends influencing food choices.

As always, the topics were informative, innovative and well-presented. Most delegates expressed a need for new, up-to-date and cost-effective technology as far as systems, quality and processing within their organizations and, as a result, the Introspect Business Suite generated a lot of interest.
