FACILITATING CHANGE
Vision, Mission, Strategy, Objectives There are many theories around these areas. Fantus Technologies facilitates organizations to achieve meaningful change in these areas.
Vision - This short statement defines your overall long-term goal. This statement should define WHAT your business will be. It should be brief (20-30 words) and clearly describe what you will be providing and who the customer base will be. If the statement is too specific, it is not much of a vision; too general and it is unattainable. Your vision should be something to strive for. E.g. “I want to have the best Spaza shop in Kempton Park, and we want to continually grow from year to year”
Mission - This is a common comment that tells WHY you are pursuing your vision. Why do you want to start a business? What do you have to give? Keep in mind that many people have a vision but very few have a mission ... At least one they are willing to pursue. E.g. “Our mission is to provide our customers with speedy service and high quality products at the lowest price that provides for their basic needs. We also want to do our utmost to keep our customers coming back.”
Strategy - A strategy is a long-term plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal, most often "winning".
Objective - An objective is a sub goal. It identifies a short-term, measurable step within a designated period of time that is moving toward achieving a long-term goal.
Goals - Goals are something that YOU want to achieve over a time. E.g. Increase the operating hours of our Spaza shop as it grows. |
